Some of the Hedgehog class dressed up for World Book Day! 3-03-16
Some of the Hedgehog children were exploring the outside area and were excited to find some ice. The children enjoyed exploring the feeling of the ice and smashing it into little pieces. 22/1/16
The Hedgehog class have been very busy this week learning about The Princess and the Pea.
We have been listening to different versions of the story, acting it out in the role-play area, writing sentences about the princess and in maths we have been learning about addition.
The children have also been practicing their cutting skills and have been painting pictures from the story.
Some of the children in the Hedgehog class have been exploring the soapy foam.
Maia "This is really tickly, it looks like it is Christmas."
Hadley "It feels weird and slimy."
Kendra "If you squeeze it then it comes out the sides like a snake."
The hedgehogs made Pudsey bear biscuits and bought in their teddy bear's from home to raise money for Children in Need.
The children learnt about Armistice Day and made poppies!
In R.E. the Hedgehogs worked together to re-in act a child being baptised. The children also made the sign of the cross with Holy Water.
This week we have been learning about the Gunpowder Plot. We have been acting out the story, writing the sounds fireworks make and creating firework pictures using 2D shapes, glitter and straw blowing. W/C 2/11/15
We have enjoyed looking around our new classroom!
This week the children have been learning about Doctors and Nurses! 5/10/15
