At St.Augustine’s we value the importance of Physical Education and the role it plays in supporting children and young people’s physical and mental health. Our vision for Physical Education is to ensure children are provided with opportunities in lessons and through extra curricular activities, to develop not only their fundamental movement skills and motor competence, but also their creative, cognitive, personal and social skills. This holistic approach will provide a foundation in which our children can develop into tolerant, socially responsible, creative and resilient learners who aspire to be the best they can be. In turn resulting in them developing a lifelong love of physical activity.
Through a broad and balanced curriculum using a combination of schemes of work such as GetSet4PE and RealPE, helps children to become confident and physically literate people.
