The Parent Forum exists to allow as many parents as possible to be able to suggest ideas and express views that relate to school life with the express aim of improving the educational experience of the children in the school within the ethos and mission statement of St Augustine’s.
Ideas that are brought forward as agenda items relate to general school issues and not to individual children or situations as these need to be dealt with by class teachers and in confidence.
The aim is to give as much consideration and information as possible without necessarily giving a guarantee of change since opinions vary according to individuals. A Governor will also be available to ensure that the Governing Body has the chance to hear any issues raised and so to consider whether to raise these at future Governors’ meetings.
Meetings will be held once a term. Any parent can send in an agenda item via the web-site or in writing. I hope that there will be representation across all the classes and all backgrounds. Minutes will be published on the school web-site, just click on the date of the meeting on the left to read them.
